Christina finally confirms to Glamour Magazine that she is, indeed, pregnant. Jennifer Lopez is still mum on becoming a mom.
After months of speculation and the “is she or isn’t she” talk in celebrity magazines, Christina Aguilera officially confirmed what everyone already knew; she’s pregnant. Jennifer Lopez still remains mum on her growing belly.
Aguilera's Got a Bun in the Oven
The former Dirrty girl has been seen around the Los Angeles area for months with an expanding waistline and growing chest. These are all tell-tale signs of pregnancy but Aguilera and her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman, had remained quiet on the pregnancy rumors. However, they didn’t deny the rumors. They just simply didn’t say anything when asked by the paparazzi.
Paris Hilton was the first person to let the cat out of the bag confirming Aguilera's pregnancy. Aguilera and Bratman held an event at the Las Vegas nightclub LAX in September. According to People Magazine, Hilton was making a speech and congratulated, “the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world,” while pointing and blowing kisses to Aguilera. She and her husband sat there looking stunned and just laughed it off, yet still no official word on her pregnancy status.
Aguilera confirmed to Glamour that she and her husband are, indeed, expecting a little one next year.
Aguilera's Maternity Style
However, she hasn’t let pregnancy derail her personal style. She’s been regularly seen around L.A. wearing her signature red lipstick, still rocking the platinum blonde hair and even seen wearing heels every so often. She’s been spotted wearing tight, somewhat sheer, tops that expose a leopard print bra recently as well.
This will be the first child for Aguilera and Bratman who were married on November 19, 2005 in a glorious ceremony with festivities lasting three days in Napa Valley, California.
Lopez Still Mum on Being a Mom
Although Aguilera never, before now, spoke of the pregnancy or even confirmed it, she never denied it like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anothony. In recent months, Lopez has been spotted with a growing belly where washboard abs used to be. She’s been on tour with her husband, Marc Anthony, and has been wearing flowing dresses that don’t hug the body at all; a far cry from her midriff bearing ensembles she used to wear on tour and in recent music videos.
In one photograph that surfaced, Lopez is wearing a loose ensemble that was blown up into the air while on stage and a very apparent belly bump was underneath it. Designer Roberto Cavalli was recently interviewed by People Magazine about what types of clothes he designs specifically for celebrities.
“It is so complicated because every week she [Lopez] is getting bigger," Cavalli said about designing for Lopez’s tour.
Not confirming a pregnancy to the press is a woman’s prerogative. It’s a very personal experience that the whole world doesn’t need to be let in on. However, Anthony, as late as September 21, 2007, was denying the pregnancy to every media outlet that asked about the rumors when his wife was clearly showing already.
This will be Lopez’s first child and Anthony’s fourth. He has three children from previous relationships. Lopez and Anthony married in a private ceremony on June 5, 2004, four days after Anthony’s divorce from Dyanara Torres was finalized.
