Is it ever OK to hit a woman? The answer according to many is, "absolutely not." Especially celebrity and talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Oprah who is very passionate about domestic violence and a rape victim herself, is coming back after Chris Brown's comments about her show this summer. The show was about domestic violence. Oprah's show was dedicated "to all the Rihanna's of the world" and Oprah Winfrey told the world, "Love does not hurt. If a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again. I don't care what his plea is." In response to the showing of the violence show, Chris Brown said, "I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could of been more helpful, like, OK, I'm going to help both of these people out." Many people were shocked by the pictures of Rihanna - bruised and bloodied from the incident. It is clear that Oprah Winfrey is speaking for many in her plea against domestic violence. Chris Brown was arrested and then released on $50,000 bail. The trial was front page news and Rihanna and Chris Brown were not allowed to see each other again. The couple was due to appear on the Grammay Awards, but cancelled their appearance. Both claim they still love each other, but it looks like that road is paved with nothing but hardships. Chris Brown appeared on Larry King Live and stated he loved Rihanna and was in love with her, but could not see her due to the court ruling. He was sentenced to 6 months community service and is willing to do what is necessary.
