It will undoubtedly be an epic match between two cunning linguists – one a Liberal comedian, the other a neocon. The face off between Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart and CNBC’s Jim Cramer has been confirmed as Cramer is scheduled to visit The Daily Show Thursday.
Mad Money Host Just Mad
Cramer hosts Mad Money and is renowned for his high-energy stock suggestions and overall madcap behaviour.
Cramer is apparently sore at Stewart after The Daily Show aired an episode recently in which CNBC personalities looked like hacks whose predictions about the stock market were preposterously off base. Stewart showed a variety of clips and criticized the media saying that the so-called reporters who cover Wall Street have a place in the economic disaster.
Specifically, Cramer appeared in the segment in which he recommended Bear Stearns stock. The stock and the company have since collapsed.
Cramer was on the Today show and said, "A comedian attacking me. Wow. He runs a variety show."
Cramer acknowledged he and many other stock-watchers made wrong calls. But he was quick to point out that he was publicly advising Americans to take their money out of the stock market if they wanted to use it in the next five years.
Stewart, a Buffoon?
Stewart’s response: "You make me sound like I'm some crazy buffoon, just flapping my arms with crazy buttons and wacky sound effects," he said, before running a Mad Money clip of Cramer jabbing bells and buzzers.
If only Stewart and Cramer could learn something from Iron Chef Cat Cora and bring love not hatred into the world.
Cat Cora and Wife Pregnant
Iron Chef Cat Cora and her wife, Jennifer Cora, are both pregnant with the couple’s third and fourth children. According to PerezHilton.com and the Huffington Post, Cat is carrying a baby conceived using Jennifer’s egg while Jennifer’s baby comes after both Cat and Jennifer used their eggs. The same anonymous sperm donor fathered all their kids.
Both Cat and Jennifer are carrying boys, who will join the couple’s two sons, Zoran and Caje in a wonderful blended family.
Mandy Moore Married to a “Good Egg”
Actress/singer Mandy Moore married Ryan Adams in Georgia earlier this week, MTV News is reporting. The couple got engaged in February. In the April issue of Marie Claire, Moore is quoted as saying, “He’s a good egg. I’m in awe of him: his brain, his passion. He’s truly one of a kind.”
