Judging by the amount of significant advertisers, it is clear they may hate it- but they're sure reading it! This is the place where Hollywood (and those who follow it) find out who's hot, who's not- who's thin, who's in.

That's right, brand. You can actually buy "Perezcious" t-shirts, see him as he tours the country or even book him for your own gig! How cool would you be if the pink-haired Hollywood gossip superstar showed up at your party?!
Perez dished recently for Rolling Stone magazine:
"“I’ve written about Britney Spears more than about anyone else, by far. I used to be the biggest Britney fan. Unlike the Nicole Richies or whoever, she really is talented. America is obsessed with celebrity gossip. We want to not care, but we can't help it. Maybe it's because it takes us out of our own hum-drum, day-to-day existence into a world of the surreal- the red carpet- the glamour, the glitz- it's addictive. We stand at checkout lines and try not to buy the latest Us Weekly or Star- but it's such an innocent, inexpensive form of escapism- which celebrity looks better in that dress, whose marriage is on the rocks- again.
Perez Hilton knows all this- he sympathizes with our dirty little secret of loving celebrity gossip- and he's right there to make a little money from it!
