She shot to fame in the lead role of Gabriella Montez in the box office hit High School Musical series of films and became an instant role model for teens and tweens across the world. But in 2007 Vanessa Hudgen’s previously squeaky clean image was irrevocably changed by the release of saucy pictures which were leaked to an internet site.

Following the scandal, in September 2007, the starlet said she was sorry and issued a statement for her followers saying: “I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos."
And while the revelations may have shocked parents of her young admirers, they are also believed to have won the actress a whole new army of fans, very different from the young followers of the High School Musical series.
High School Musical Star Hudgens Hit by New Scandal
So it is no surprise to learn that more racy nude pictures which claim to be of Hudgens have recently emerged. The pictures, which are featured on an adult orieneted website, have been dubbed the Vanessa Hudgens Scandal 2009, although it remains unclear whether the images actually feature the actress herself or are the work of a lookalike posing as the star.
Showbiz pundits claim that, if genuine, it is likely the pictures pre-date those released in 2007 as Hudgens would not be likely to make the same mistake a second time. Fans have flooded websites with messages in support of the actress and seem unconcerned by the supposed scandal.

However cynics have commented on the timing of the new scandal, which comes less than a fortnight before the official release of Hudgens new film Bandslam, which will be premiered in Los Angeles tonight, with Hudgens likely to be in attendance.
The film, which also features Friends veteran Lisa Kudrow, Alyson Michalka, and Gaelan Connell, follows an unlikely group of teen friends who form a band and take on the popular kids in a high school battle of the bands and is seen as a likely summer smash.
Hudgens Scandal a Warning for Teens
The news comes hot on the heels of revelations that teens across the globe are taking and transmitting risqué pictures on mobile phones and webcams, and may well serve as a cautionary tale to those tempted to take part in the worrying craze.
